"Or she just doesn't like potato fuckin' alcoholics." Gilbert responded simply with a shrug to Iain about Alisia not enjoying his stuffed animal collection, a small, mischievous smile curling across his lips.

However, upon so blatantly informing the git of his mothers' untimely exit, his expression never changed. Although, the Scottish teen's certainly did. His emerald eyes grew three times their original size and his porcelain freckled face turned a ghostly white that nearly rivaled the lack of pigment in the albino's skin. He spoke, yes, probably trying to apologize or something, but Gilbert didn't bother listening to him over the roar or rage boiling inside of him, drumming against the inside of his ears.

Then came the moment the Prussian had been waiting for: He watched with a spark of glee in his ruby irises as Iain cracked his knuckles, lunging out at him and fisting his shirt, lifting him up as though the boy was weightless, and then slammed him down into the table. A wave of ache soared through his spinal column, and a twisted grin formed across his lips as he spoke again: "The only thing I'll be callin' ya, is dead."

Gilbert hardly even winced as he felt the other boy's knuckles connect with his jaw. Adrenaline pumped through his veins and his arms felt heavy with constricted power, unable to lash out and attack. Well, it wasn't that he was unable to attack. He was perfectly able, and every cell in his body ached to knock Iain onto his pale ass, but he knew he couldn't. Fighting would mean he would be kicked off the soccer team. He refused to even think of letting that happen, so he remained still as another blow landed square into the center of his face. A sickening crack sounded through the now silent cafeteria as all eyes landed on them, and the Prussian reeled back slightly as pain shot through his face. Something was broken. He tried to sniff as he felt the warm, scarlet fluid trickle from his nose, but blinding pain flared through his nasal cavity as he herd Francoise screaming at the Scottish teen to cease his actions.

The Prussian, however, remained motionless.he didn't even budge as they began to be swarmed by observing security guards and teachers. A few people were muttering things like, 'Oh my god' and 'Holy crap', but Gilbert only smiled still. The comment he heard that caused his nasty grin to grow was one that guaranteed a true, cruel punishment for Iain: His loss of his position on the rugby team.

Fucking perfect.

He laughed, openly, ignoring the searing pain in his face as he smiled. A teacher stepped in between them before Iain could land another blow, and Gilbert knew the "fight" was over as the Scottish teen stormed out of the school, screaming a curse to the albino in his grand exit.

"Auf wiedersehen!" Gilbert called after the other, sitting up with a small groan of pain in his back. It hadn't even been a second after before Francoise rushed over to his side, her small, gentle hand on his shoulder as her nimble fingers moved his chin so that she could examine his face.
"I'm fine." Gilbert insisted, but knew it was useless as she whispered to him, her voice soft and sad. What did she care? She'd helped gang up on him with that asshole. She'd even laughed at him, for Christ's sake! His lip curled into a frown as she stated that no, he was not all right, and that she was going to escort him to the nurses' office. With a sigh, he let her try to support his weight, but didn't lean on her as they exited the cafeteria, "Honestly, babe, I'm fine." He insisted as they wandered down the empty corridor, lifting his fingers to his nose. Moving it back and forth, he winced and hissed with pain as blood began to gush from his irritated wound. He sneered in disgust as the coppery taste spread over his tongue and spat at the ground to attempt to free him of the taste, "Okay, fine, maybe he broke my nose." Gilbert admitted as they turned a corner and he was led into the nurses office.

However, it only took a moment to peer into her office and call for her to realize that she was absent, "I'll stay here and wait for her." The albino spoke to his friend as he pulled a paper towel from a roll by the sink, holding it to his nose, "You don't have to stay with me if you don't want to."

Iain just grew more confused by that confession. "If ye've had rough patches with "popular" kids, why do ya want tae help me of all people? I'd imagine ye'd want tae do the exact opposite bu' hey i'm no' complainin' " He laughed, getting to his feet and helping her up. "Tae bad I didnae notice ya sooner, yer mighty nice and cute. Donnae see alo' of tha' anymore. Bu' I guess I''m nae lookin' hard enuff."

The red-head shrugged, his mood much better after talking to her and hope filling his once dulled eyes. "I guess it's worth a shot, let's do this." He began walking toward the cafeteria doors, glancing at her. "Ye comin' or wh-" He cut himself off suddenly, golden locks blowing in the wind behind a tree catching his eye. "..........I'm no' even gonna ask."

Tris poked her head out from the tree she was hiding behind to better track Alisa and Iain. Surprised green eyes met Tristany's cheerful blue ones. When Tris realized she had been spotted, she manically made the universal symbol of 'please stay quiet.' The red head gave a nearly unnoticeable nod. Tris gave a grateful smile and dashed out from behind the tree and over to the sidewalk. Acting like she had come upon Alisa and Iain by chance and not by design, Tristany grinned and waved at her fellow students.

"Hey! Alisa! I've been, uh, looking for you!" Tris called. She trotted over to Alisa and Iain.

She frowned at him. "Gilbert, I'm staying with you" she stated, she wasn't going to back out of her decision. She felt like it was her duty as a friend to and make up for joining in on the joke with Iain. She sighed softly and sat down in a chair. "I'm sorry..." she whispered and stood up, walking over to him. "I really am. I didn't think that it would go that far or anything like that" she whispered again, looking down. So much for keeping her mind focused on the game.

Gilbert pulled the paper towel away from his nose after a moment and folded it in half, keeping his head slightly leaned forward to keep the blood from going down his throat or into his sinuses, then pressing it back up to his nostrils. Damn that Iain for wounding a face as awesome as his. In all honesty, though, it'd had been completely worth it. A mischievous smirk till tugged at the corner of his lip just thinking about his snappy comeback.

Although, as Francoise spoke up, his scarlet gaze was directed back towards her with a raised brow. He smirked slightly at her stubbornness, but he had expected nothing less from her. She was stubborn, and far too loyal for her own good. They were alike in that sense.

"Thanks, I suppose." He offered as he leaned against the sink, turning to face the mirror over it as he pulled the paper towel away again. Blood was smeared across his upper lip and his nose had turned a bright, red, inflamed color. Parts of it had already started to shift to a more purple tone. Bruising had began to form lightly around his eyes and his nose had begun to swell. Brilliant. Just brilliant. How was he supposed to get a date for homecoming looking like this? He turned on the sink and tossed away the soiled paper towel before grabbing a new one and placing it under the running water.

The albino heard as she sat down, but paused as she spoke up again with a small whisper. A frown tugged at his lips as he pulled the paper towel from the running water and wiped the blood from his face as he watched her approach him in the mirror as she spoke again, looking down.

He smirked slightly, shaking his head as he tossed away the wet paper towel, turned off the faucet, and grabbed a dry paper towel, holding it to his nose as he turned around, "Don't worry about it." He said, "Honestly, I don't care. He was just being an asshole. Besides, all you did was offer your two-sense. You were just teasing me, like we always do to each other. So it's cool. You're not the one who messed up this perfect face, so yeah." Gilbert shrugged, "'Just don't know how I'm supposed to get a date to the dance now."

Francoise glanced up at him and frowned when she saw his nose becoming purplish. A soft sigh escaped her lips as he spoke. He should know by now that she was going to worry about him. She always did and would. "Oui, 'e is an ass'ole" she agreed. She like Iain. She really did but sometimes he got to much even though Gilbert could as well, she had learned to deal with him along time ago.

"Just don't know how I'm supposed to get a date to the dance now"

She raised a brow and felt her heart speed up. He didn't have a date?

"You don't 'ave a date?" she asked, crossing her arms. Out of everyone she thought he would have a date. A small and barley noticeable smile spread across her lip. "Why don't you 'ave a date?" she asked him.

With his question, Alisia could feel her palms become clammy, her teeth grazing over her bottom lip. It was very tempting to bail on this entire idea, to let him take care of his own problem. But her heart told her she couldn't, that she was somehow responsible for this in the first place. Perhaps not directly, but she could have attempted to cease their fighting.

Alisia still held onto the memories: the ones that drew her into a reclusive nature. A girl tripping her in the hallway and kicking her supplies about as she scrambled for them. A boy feigning interest in her, only to preach in front of his entire mob of friends at how she was a slut. It didn't end there, and it never did. She wasn't sure what she'd ever done to deserve this bullying, but perhaps...it was better her than some other poor soul. She wouldn't wish it on anyone. But understandably, it made her constantly suspicious.

"I...well, you're not like them," she mumbled, "you're nice."

The Armenian perked up once hearing a familiar voice calling her. Was that... "Tristany?" Her face shifted into a knowing smile. "It's nice to see you. You can...walk with us if you'd like, but I have to help him take care of something." She knew she couldn't get distracted now. What if she lost this new-found courage? She wouldn't be able to live with herself then. "Come with us."

It felt strange walking side-by-side with such a famous student in the hallways where she almost always walked alone. The realization had her mouth clammed up and glued shut. Strange looks were thrown their way as they made their way to the office.

She let out a breath she never knew she was holding. "Okay...let's do this." She felt much, much safer around staff members, where she knew student misconduct was strictly forbidden. Not to mention, they all seemed to like her.

The office smelled of aged paper and cigarette remains, the only sound within being the monotonous ticking of a clock hung above the door. Alisia nodded to Iain, making sure he was still behind her, as well as Tristany. A lump forming in her throat of nervousness, she gently knocked on the door of the Athletic Administrator.

"Come in," a gravely voice drawled.

Swallowing thickly she opened the door, trying her best to offer the large, gruff man a polite smile. "Hello...M-Mr. Connery." The main raised a brow at her in curiosity, which quickly shifted to suspicion at the site of Iain Kirkland roving behind her.

Before he had a chance to speak, she bumbled in. "L-look sir I...I know you're angry with Iain right now, and you have  a right to be, he lost his cool." She hoped Iain would let her finish her little speech. "He's easily angered and quick to act, but sir it wasn't necessarily his fault he got in that fight earlier."

That piqued the man's interest, who leaned forward on his elbows with sharp attentive eyes. "Go on."

She nodded quickly. "I...was talking to Gilbert Beilschmidt originally. See..I...I provoked him, so he said some harmful things about me and my family. Iain overheard it and felt compelled to protect me. But I should never have provoked Gilbert in the first place."

A small chuckle came from the heavy man. "I've seen you, miss Arabian, and I know you wouldn't bad-mouth a fly. Please, stop lying."

Alisia swallowed again, shaking her head. "E-even if I was lying sir, Iain deserves a second chance! See he...he has a real passion for it, he loves it, more than anything else in this school. But isn't his reflex good? Isn't him being quick to act good? It shows the endurance and instinct of a good rugby player! It would be a detriment to the team to lose him!"

To room fell heavy with silence for many moments. Finally, after Alisia had done much nervous sweating, he smiled. "I suppose you have a point. I will speak with his coach, and see what I can't do about letting him back on."

Alisia was almost dancing when they left the office, beaming up at her new red-headed friend. "We did it Iain! Now you can still be on the team!" Her eyes shifted to her blonde friends, and she gripped her hands happilly. "Isn't this great Tristany?"

Tristany smiled, happy that her friend was happy.

"Yep." Tris glanced down at her watch.

"We've still got time before the next class. Hmm, is my watch broken? No, no, we're okay, the second hand just moved. So, what do you guys want to do? Oh! What if we build a nuclear fueled rocket? Tris suggested. Tristany had a habit of coming up with outrageous and sometimes dangerous ways to use up free time.

Gilbert shrugged as she agreed with his statement about Iain. Half of him had wanted to laugh as she agreed and ask her why, then, had she joined in on the obnoxious teasing?That was beside the point now, and it hardly mattered anyhow.

However, as Gilbert spoke his troubles about finding a date, he looked up at her with interest as her brow rose. Did she find this amusing? Surely it wasn't because she... No, never. That would be impossible. She probably had a crush on Antonio or that one kid Arthur or something. Never him.

As she voiced her questions, a small smile forming across her lips, Gilbert averted his gaze with a bit of embarrassment shining through his ruby pupils, "Yeah." He shrugged, "I don't know why I haven't had much luck this year. Maybe I'm just too awesome for anyone this year." He spoke with a smirk, "Guess I'm not as lucky as you, eh? Who're you taking?" Gilbert asked, looking back up to her as his eyes sparked with interest.

Francoise watched him with interest before frowning at his question, slightly thankful that the break up hadn't spread around the whole school yet.

"No one" she shrugged. "Arthur and I broke up a couple of days ago, so I'm dateless" she sighed softly and took a step back to lean against the wall. Her eyes shone with pain and relief, her and Arthur never got along and it was for the best anyway. Her blue eyes met his red ones and her heart fluttered.

"We're in the same boat, cherie."

Gilbert's brows rose with a hint of surprise, but then he faltered, "Why did you break up?" He questioned, "What did that asshole do to you?" The albino continued, taking a step forward as his eyes flickered with concern for his dear friend.

"Do I need to kick his ass? Because I swear to god if he so much as looked at you wrong I will shove my foot so far up his ass his eyebrows will reel with pain." He growled. He'd never been a great fan of Arthur, since the British git and his brother had gotten into a disagreement a while back. Gilbert would never admit his jealousy to Francoise, of course, but it was obvious that he never liked him.

However, as she spoke up again, he cocked his head to the side with interest. So she was going stag as well? Interesting. Maybe....? No, no. She would never take him. She was too good for that.

Gilbert averted his gaze as a hint of scarlet brushed his cheeks, "Oh." He spoke, "Thats a shame. Any guy would be one hell of a lucky bastard to go to homecoming with you."

She bit her lip and looked at him. She didn't want to tell him that they had broken up because she had feelings for someone else and Arthur had found out by overhearing her and one of her teammates talking about Gilbert after the game last week. She sighed softly and looked down. 'Might as well tell him' she thought to herself.

"We broke up because I 'ave feelings for someone else" she told him, her blue eyes looking at him. She gave a quiet giggle as he went on about kicking Arthur's ass. "I wouldn't mind or be against it if you did. I don't want you to get kicked off the team though" she told him. She knew Gilbert had never like Arthur, none of her friends did. She liked him for a while and when he asked her out she accepted but she soon realized why her friends didn't like him. He was a stuck up asshole.

Her eyes lifted back up to meet his as she saw the blush on his cheeks. 'Would you though?' she wondered to herself with a slight frown. "Not if Arthur tells everyone the reason" she sighed softly and looked down. He probably wouldn't go with her anyway.

"'ey.... D-do.. Nevermind" she muttered, shaking her head and mentally cursing herself for not asking him.

Gilbert peered to her with utmost interest twinkling in his eyes, along with a strong hint of 'I-Am-Gonna-Fuckin'-Kick-Your-Ex-Boyrfriend's-Ass'. When she spoke up that she had feelings for someone else, a hint of a smile curled across his lips, "Oh, really, now?" He asked, "Who?"

His smile grew as she giggled towards his comment, happy to see her smile as she spoke up again. He smirked with a shrug, "It's that pricks word against mine if I do. I know how to not get caught, don't worry about me, babe."

The albino's gaze was directed back up towards her as she spoke up again, and frowned, "If he so much as says a word I'll break his face." He promised.

However, upon her last hesitant statement, he frowned, "What is it? Tell me."

She shook her head. "'E probably wouldn't like me like that anyway" she waved her he and in dismissal. She sighed. Of course he knew how to not get caught and she knew that he would go beat the shit out of him and she wasn't going to stop him.
She smiled slightly at him as he promised her he would.

"I guess..." She started "I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to 'omecoming with me since we both don't 'ave dates and all" she bit her lip, her blue eyes shining with hope.

Gilbert smirked, "Are you kidding?" He removed the now soiled paper towel from his nose and tossed it out, getting a new one and pressing it back to his bleeding nostrils as he continued, "Any guy would be lucky to have you, Francoise. You're brilliantly talented, a fucking genius, you're like.... Really strong, and you always know the right thing to say whenever someone's in a bad mood." The Prussian went on, "Not to mention that you're seriously one of the most stunning girls in this entire school, if not the whole fucking country. Any guy would be lucky to have you, and they'd have to be crazy not to like you back."

The albino looked to her with interest gleaming in his eyes as she spoke up her question, and his emotion flickered for a second. An almost mournful gaze crossed his eyes, and he almost looked hurt, but it was quickly suppressed with a shine of happiness, "Really?" He asked, a grin breaking out across his face, "I'd love to."

A sudden silence in the usually deafening cafeteria caused Lukas to tear his eyes from the pages of his book. On the other side of the cafeteria a small crowd had formed around Iain and Gilbert, two rather popular kids. Curiosity overcame him as he stood up to get a better view of what was going on.

Iain had grabbed the Prussian teen, slamming him into the table, following up with two solid punches which made the students surrounding them cringe. Before the enraged Scotsman could throw another punch teachers had broken the two up.

Even from across the room Lukas could see the blood dripping from the platinum haired teen. A shout from Iain made him turn his head to see him leaving the room. Soon after Gilbert was seen slowly walking out of the room with Francoise.

With a soft sigh Lukas decided to leave the cafeteria as well, deciding to go to his locker to get his things for his next class. He picked up his things and moved through the dispersing crowd, easily making it to the door. After a quick glance into the lunchroom he continued on his way, walking slowly down the hallway, figuring that he could take his time.

Ivan Braginski was a gentle man. He was kind, and genuinely caring to those he was close to. However, today was different. He had caught wiff that a certain Nordic had come out of his closet recently, and he was determined to stuff that monstrosity back where he belonged. It wasn't right- For him to be... Homosexual. It wasn't right. It wasn't natural. He was a monstrous creation of God, a forsaken damnation of Hell.

It was Ivan's job to straighten him out, no pun intended.

So, the Russian made his way down the hallway at a somewhat steady pace, light purple scarf flowing behind him. He wore a long-sleeved tan turtleneck paired with brown pants and sneakers. His clothing was certainly not what made him intimidating- It was his stature. He stood at a massive six-foot-four-inches, and was two-hundred fifty pounds of muscle that had been built up with years of being co-captain (along with Matthew Williams) of the hockey team. He was also the leader of the youth center in his Orthodox Church, which led him to be such a strong opposer to the gay community in his school.

This opposition from the massive Russian usually meant that no one would reveal their sexuality to anyone if they were anything other than heterosexual, but there were a few instances in which someone would stand up against him and declare their personal monstrosities to the world as though they were proud of it.

The newest person to stand up against him? One Mr. Lukas Bondevik, to be in particular. Where was that little fag-? Oh, there he was!

Ivan approached the Nordic from behind, leaning against the locker next to him with a seemingly harmless smile, "Privet, Lukas." He spoke, "May I have a word with you?"

As Lukas got to his locker he could feel a unsettling feeling dig its way into the pit of his stomach. He tried to brush it off as he set some of his books in his locker, while getting out a world history book. In his periphial vision he could see a looming figure lean against the locker next to his, greeting him with feigned happiness.

That voice alone was enough to set him on edge. He took a quick glance around before looking at the Russian with his usual stoic expression. He'd be damned if he let any fear show.

"No, you may not. I have a world history class to get to." He said after a moment of silence.

He spun on his heel, striding down the hall as fast as he could without running, almost completely sure he had avoided that mess.

Ivan feigned a gentle smile as Lukas looked up at him, the Russian suppressing the urge to vomit in the sight of such a monstrosity. However, as the other shot him his staple stoic expression, he cocked his head to the side ever so slightly in curiosity. Had the Russian come off in the wrong way? All he wanted was to save the poor boy from his inevitable damnation.

Although, as the Nordic answered him, he frowned. Where did this guy think he was going? It hadn't been a question- More of a demand. Did he not know that? Apparently not.

As Lukas turned and began to make his way down the hallway, he reached out and snatched the boy by the back of his collar, pulling him back over and against his locker with a forceful grip, "Now, now..." Ivan chuckled, "Where do you think you're going? There's still about five minutes of lunch left, da? You should be able to have a quick conversation with me with plenty of time left to get to your class." He continued, "I just wanted to have a simple conversation with you about something that had recently come to my attention and is concerning me quite a bit. Now, do tell.... Are you, in fact, a homosexual?"

Lukas heard the question he had wanted to avoid. The question about his sexuality. Yes, very recently he had noticed his own lack of attention in girls, and his very piqued attention in boys. He had told a select few, but it seemed that the word had gotten out. He kept his even tone as he said "No."

He paused for a moment before adding another sentence. "You of all people should know how the students love their stupid rumours. Now if you would let me go, I'll be leaving to get to class."

A small sneer curled across the Russian's lip as he heard the other so blatantly lie through his teeth. What a poor, poor child. A liar, and a homosexual? How many sins did this child need before he was redeemed? Could he even be redeemed at this point? Ivan hoped so, for Lukas' sake, "Please, Lukas, spare me the lies. You're terrible at it, no matter how hard you try." He sighed, "Honestly, there's a difference in between rumors and depressing truths. I honestly must say that I am very disappointed in you. Let me guess... You've probably set those eyes of yours on Matthias, haven't you?" He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth in disapproval.

"I must say that I'm honestly saddened to hear that you have sunk to such a level. You had such good potential, too, da? It pains me to say this, but you need help. Please, revoke your ways, or else I will have to help you."

A feeling of dread clawed at Lukas from the inside, telling him to try and run. Even if he were to try, he knew that the much larger Russian teen would be able to catch him in a matter of seconds. He listened silently as Ivan talked about how wrong his ways were. As soon as Matthias was mentioned, his eyes flicked to elsewhere in the hall, avoiding Ivan's gaze. He had thought no one would be able to figure that out.

Once he heard Ivan demand that he change his ways, his eyes snapped back to Ivan's, meeting his with a cold glare. He would not let himself be controlled by the feared teen.

"Ivan, you can't control me. I'm not going to change myself just because you find that there's something 'unholy' about the way I am." When the blonde's expression changed slightly, he knew that speaking up had been the wrong thing to do.

He didn't regret it though. Not yet.

A growing feeling of disgust built up in his chest as the other peered up at him so... Innocently. Innocence was meant for those without sin. Not people like him. He couldn't let himself succumb to such levels as this. It was as though he was being tricked by the devil himself. His sneer grew into more of a sickened snarl as the other averted his gaze upon the mention of Matthias. So it was true... Disgusting.

However, as the other turned back to him with a defiant glare, followed by a defiant statement, he drew away in disgust. This one was far too gone. The only way to help him now was with brute force.

He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, obviously displeased, "I'm ashamed of you, Lukas. Truly. I regret in having to do this, but I'm afraid the only way to get these demons out of you.... Is to force them out."

In a split second, the entire scene changed. He reeled his fist back, encasing the other's collar in his free hand, and whirled it forward full force, slamming into the other's left eye.

As the Russian teen's face contorted into a look of cruelty, Lukas knew he wasn't going to get out of this situation unscathed. Ivan pulling his arm back to take a swing at him was the last thing Lukas saw before he squeezed his eyes shut.

His fist quickly made contact with his left eye, leaving a feeling of pain and surprise. He hadn't expected it to hurt as much as it did. It even elicited a quick shout of pain. At this point the only thing holding him up was Ivan's tight grip on the collar of his shirt.

A low groan came from his throat, as he dared to open his eyes to look up at the Russian teen. The snarl on his face hadn't left his face, as he now looked down at Lukas with disgust in his eyes.

Lukas was afraid for his life.

The vision around his eyes darkened as adrenaline pumped into Ivan's veins. He drew back his fist again and swung forward, knocking him in the jaw, before pulling him by his shirt and swinging him around so that he landed on the ground, where the Russian followed so that the other was pinned down by his legs as his fists kept swinging at him, colliding with the other's skin as sickening sounds of brutality sounded through the hallway.

CRACK!

A sickening pop sounded through the hallway as he brought both fists down onto the others chest, just next to the sternum, and Ivan knew he had broken something. But that didn't stop him. By now his animalistic tendencies had taken over, and he wasn't going to stop until someone made him, or his objective was fulfilled.

The Norwegian was right to be fearful for his life.
